These days, tree climbing is slowly being recognized as recreational sports. Like rock climbing and wall climbing, there are tree climbing equipments required to ensure safety among tree climbers.

Some climber would prefer to climb trees freely which is a method that doesn’t use any tree climbing equipment. These are a very dangerous activity and are not advised by the expert. The two other methods are the safer ones – the double rope or the single rope techniques. When you take their services, you have to be aware of the basic tree climbing equipment to ensure that you will be safe and protected in the activity you will undertake.

Tree climbing equipment should include a helmet especially designed to protect you from falling objects, a harness or a saddle which is similar but not really the same as the ones used for rock climbing and a ropes that is unlike the ones use for rock climbing. Ropes for tree climbing should have a limited stretchability and is not twisted.
